How to Divorce Your Feelings in 2020!

A new year often comes with hefty promises that we make to ourselves on how we plan to be better in the new year…and then like clockwork, a few weeks or months into the new year, we regress right back to our old selves. If you have already regressed back to your old habits, don’t feel bad (I mean you should but don’t) because you are not the only one.

So, how do you get back on track? Regressing back to your old habits will happen but what matters most is how you decide to pick yourself back up and continue working on the goals that you have set in place.

This year I’m working on discipline. Let’s be honest - often, we don’t get a lot of things done because we lack the discipline needed to get things done. If we don’t feel like waking up earlier than we should, we don’t do it. If we don’t feel like going to the gym, we don’t do it. If we don’t feel like eating healthy, we don’t do it. If we don’t feel like doing our devotion, we don’t do it.

We don’t bring to fruition the plans that we set in place simply because our feelings won’t let us. It’s very rare that we are going to be motivated ALL the time but once the motivation dies down is when the real test starts.

How do you divorce your feelings in 2020? You simply just DO IT!

Will you join me in divorcing our feelings and practicing discipline even when we don’t feel like it?

Outfit Deets:

This winter has been quite bearable for the most part and I must admit, it’s been great. HOWEVER, it just means that this global warming situation is really getting serious and that is a cause for concern.

I was surprised at how comfy this crisscross belted pencil dress was (more like a maxi dress). For under $20, the fabric is thick and the quality is really good. You can get the dress here at SheIn.

Thank you for stopping by!
