Have you ever said, I don’t have anything to wear? Every woman says that. But you will be surprised at how many outfits you can create just by switching up a few things here and there. In this post, I want to show you how I created two completely different looks just by simply switching up the blazers and the shoes.
In this instance, I’m wearing the same white skirt and button-down shirt. In the first look, I styled the combo with a mustard yellow blazer from Zara and turquoise heels from Privileged Shoes. In the second look, I recreated the combo with a berry blazer from Boohoo and hot pink heels from Zara.
Here are a two more tips on how you can restyle this summer look for the fall and winter:
Wear the same outfit with a sweater or faux-leather jacket, tights and booties.
Wear the same outfit with a sweater, scarf, tights and knee or thigh-high boots. Complete the look with wool coat.
Do you know that most people only wear 20% of their closet 80% of the time? This is what Dr. Jennifer Baumgartner states in her book You Are What You Wear. I can admit that often, I do wear the same pieces over and over again. One tip to make sure that you are maximizing the pieces that you already on is to place the pieces that you wear often, somewhere in the corner so you don’t have easy access to them.
Another tip of ensuring that you are maximizing your closet is to take a second look at the clothes that you have reserved for ‘special occasions’. That fancy dress that you reserved for a wedding or a gala? Try wearing it out to dinner with friends or a date. I have come to the realization that I’m always over-dressed for many casual outings and that is okay because I will wear these clothes…somewhere!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a blessed week.
