The Christening - A Prayer for Zoe and Zaria

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
— Psalm 127:3-5

About two months ago, we had the privilege of dedicating our babies to God and it was so beautiful taking them to curch for the first time. I had no idea how they would react to the loud music and large crowd but they were phenomenal. They did not cry the entire service and they were so quiet when the pastors took them from us to pray for them. I was a proud mommy.

It was so important for us to take the babies to church and dedicate them to God. I was so honored to stand in front of the church and give them my testimony. I knew they had been praying for me and the babies and it was such an encouragement to the church to show them that God truly does answer prayers that may seem impossible.

I’ve learnt first hand from my parents the importance of prayer. This is my daily prayer for Zoe and Zaria:

May you always remember:

God’s endless promises to you

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

You are blessed going in and coming out

You are the head and not the tail

God knew you before you were even formed in my womb

You can hear a voice behind you saying,

‘This is the way, walk in it’

You will never walk alone because God is with you

Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that

You have received it and it will be yours

You can hide under the shadow of God’s wings

God’s goodness and mercy will follow you

All the days of your lives

Your steps are ordered by the Lord

The Lord will always make his face to shine upon you

You are the light of the world so

Let your light shine in the darkness always

Thank you for stopping by! Until next time, stay blessed.
