What’s on Your Playlist?

I was listening to a sermon by Pastor Mike Todd on Crazy Faith. If you have not listened to it, you NEED to listen to this series. Here’s the link. He said something that had me thinking: If faith comes by hearing the word of God, what are you listening to?

Driving to and from work is one of my favorite things to do because it’s my alone time. I get to blast my music and sing like no one is listening and when I get out of the car, I realize how loud my music is (don’t judge me!). I’m very selective and picky about what I listen to because I’ve come to understand the power of music and the impact it can have on your thoughts and feelings.

Have you ever heard a song that just made you feel so sad, or made you feel like dancing, or made you feel like falling on your knees in worship? Music has the power to move people, words have the power to change people. Everything that you consume is affecting you one way or the other.

Faith is a muscle that needs to be exercised daily. If you need faith for a certain situation, you need to know what God says about that situation but if you don’t hear the word of God or read the word of God, how can you apply it to your life?

About my outfit:

I came across this dress in Burlington when I was dress shopping for my baby shower. Since the babies came super early, we waited until they came home from the NICU, which was about three months after birth, to have a baby shower.

I instantly fell in love with the color and how flowy it is. It looks heavy but it’s very light. Flowy dresses are perfect for hiding the mommy bump and any imperfections you may have postpartum.

Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, stay blessed!
