Getting Ready and Dressed for Work in 30 Minutes or Less

Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder.

DSC_7642Hey guys,

I hope you all had a great week so far! I can't believe that there are only 3 months left before this year is over. If you know me, you know I love my sleep, that being said, it means that early in the morning, I want to spend as a little time as possible getting ready for work. No body believes me when I say that I shower, get dressed and put on my makeup in 30 minutes or less. Ideally, picking out my work clothes from the night before would be great but that never happens. DSC_7651I love this outfit for work - it is quick and effortless and anyone can pull it off in less than five minutes. Here are a few tips on how to pull off this look without wasting too much time:

  1. For every pair of work pants, select shirts in different color palettes that you can pair them with. For example, I love to wear the dark blue pants with tops in a variety of blues or whites.
  2. I always wear a blazer over my tops so if I'm wearing the dark blue pants, I tend to go for berry, gray or blue blazers. Having a list of blazers ahead of time that will go with certain work pants will cut down on the time that you spend getting ready because you don't have to spend too much time thinking about what to wear.
  3. The same goes for shoes - have a list of shoes in different color palettes that you can pair with different looks.
